On October 8, 2019, OSF Moeller Cancer Center opened its doors for the first time. Fast forward 365 days and the Moeller family philosophy, Honor God and Help People, shines brighter than ever. During our first year, OSF Moeller Cancer Center at OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony’s Health Center in Alton, Ill. has provided transformative cancer care to hundreds of individuals, treated a dozen different cancers and ultimately changed patients’ lives for the better. From the convenient location to access of new services, everything has provided patients with the best care possible in a relaxing environment that meets their physical, mental and spiritual needs.

Cancer. It’s Personal

When OSF Moeller Cancer Center opened last fall, we made a commitment to the people and our community. In the past year, patients and their families have been touched by the phenomenal work being done. “I truly believe Dr. Sandhu’s work and the support of OSF Moeller Cancer Center made a huge difference in saving my brother’s life. Our family appreciates everything that was done,” said Karen Auten, one of the many grateful family members who witnessed firsthand the care her brother received in our care.

Hope Heals, Love Wins

In lieu of the Annual Survivor Dinner, cancer survivors were invited to participate in a drive-thru celebration on September 25, 2020. This event safely allowed for OSF HealthCare to honor 235 Riverbend area cancer survivors with curbside recognition and a gift. “We had no idea that we would have the turnout we did,” said Sister M. Mikela Meidl. “It was very exciting.”
