OSF Saint Clare Medical Center is a 25-bed, critical access hospital that offers primary care, outpatient services, and various specialty services. Specialized services include behavioral health, senior wellness, gastroenterology, pain management, and more.
For over 100 years, the hospital has served the over 53,000 community members who live in Bureau, Marshall, and Putnam counties. Through the OSF HealthCare digital health capabilities, advanced videoconferencing technology gives patients access to specialized care without leaving their local communities.

OSF Saint Clare hosted a first anniversary celebration for Mission Partners and the community on Thursday, August 4. It was a lovely celebration honoring the community we are blessed to serve. Attendees enjoyed a locally catered meal, dessert and Kona Ice courtesy of OSF HealthCare. Steve Sharp serenaded the crowd and OSF HealthCare leaders shared their knowledge and services with the community. Face painting, wellness activities by OSF Rehab and local EMS provided entertainment for our youngest community members. We truly enjoyed an evening spent in fellowship celebrating the one-year anniversary of OSF Saint Clare. We appreciate those who came to celebrate and our Mission Partner volunteers who helped to put on a wonderful event.
On Thursday, July 1, 2021, OSF HealthCare held a blessing and dedication of OSF Saint Clare Medical Center. The ceremony was enjoyed by new Mission Partners and Princeton community members. It was a special day as we welcomed the hospital to the OSF HealthCare family.
When OSF HealthCare began the process of partnering with Perry Memorial Hospital, The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and leadership of both organizations looked at a new name for the hospital. Due to the very special relationship that St. Clare of Assisi had with St. Francis, the namesake of OSF HealthCare, it was a natural choice to name the facility in her honor: OSF HealthCare Saint Clare Medical Center.
