Make an impact: Help nurses ASCEND

nursing studentsSaint Anthony College of Nursing has a rich history of providing quality nursing and health care education. At this private institution, dedicated faculty and staff focus on making a direct and immediate impact on shaping tomorrow’s heath care leaders. The college encourages an open inquiry and lifelong learning environment through education, practice and service.

By 2024, 1 million nurses are needed. With the demand of well-educated nurses, Saint Anthony nursing students have answered the call to serve as highly skilled and compassionate caregivers in our communities. In order to educate, train and support them on their journey, Saint Anthony College of Nursing has designed the Academic Support Corps Enabling Nurturing and Development (ASCEND) Center.

The ASCEND Center provides support for:

  • Study and test-taking skills
  • Course preparation strategies
  • Test anxiety management
  • Translation of textbook and class content into nursing knowledge
  • Academic tutoring by peers and/or experienced nurse education

Future ASCEND expansions include:

  • Academic writing support
  • Individualized personal counseling
  • Career counseling
  • Innovative workshops to engage students’ creativity, build resilience and enhance academic support

Your support can help shape the future of health care. By making a gift to the Saint Anthony College of Nursing, we can create additional programs and expand health care opportunities for nursing students. This support can provide critical funding to prepare and educate generations of health care leaders and nursing professionals.
